The Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) launched a new K-12 Internet Access Program to connect students in need to Internet access at home with no cost to the student or their family. Through the program, students whose families are low-income and are not currently connected to the internet can get connected through the end of the 2020-21 school year for free.
If your family qualifies for Free or Reduced Lunch, please find more information below. If your family does not qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch, please disregard this message. If you do not know whether or not your family qualifies, please contact our Nutrition Department at 360-283-4310.
OSPI K-12 Internet Access Program
- For low-income families who did not have Internet access prior to August 2020
- Available now through the end of the 2020-21 school year
Participating Internet Service Providers
To take part in the K-12 Internet Access Program, students and families need to sign up with a participating Internet service provider that serves their local community using the offer code provided by their school district. Information from the three providers is below:- Presidio

Free Internet? See if you qualify.
Granite Falls families, you may be eligible to receive internet service at your home for free. Washington’s K–12 Internet Access Program allows students and their families who previously didn’t have internet access to connect at no cost to you. There will be no credit check or denial based on past-due bills.
How is this free?
Costs are being paid for this program out of Washington’s Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, using CARES Act money, which is Covid-19 related grant funding.
DETAILS
Services:
Washington’s K–12 Internet Access Program, by the provider Presidio, include a choice of either:
- Free broadband internet connectivity where availableor
- Free MoFi (Mobile HotSpot) internet connectivity where available
Cost:
Free. There will be no fees for installation or equipment, and you will never receive a bill. No credit checks or denial based on past due bills.
- You will need to pay for any damaged or lost equipment.
Length of service:
If you are approved for the K–12 Internet Access Program, internet access will be provided to you, at no cost, through June 30, 2021.
If you want to continue with internet service after June 30, 2021, it will become your financial responsibility. To continue, you will need to contact your internet provider and make arrangements for this. Otherwise, your service will automatically end when the program ends.
Eligibility:
Your family can participate in the program if your child is eligible for free or reduced-price meals through the school and you did not have internet connectivity in your home before August 2020.

To apply for the Presidio Washington’s K–12 Internet Access Program:
- Fill out the enrollment form.
- You will receive a response within 3 business days.
- Sign up with an ISP will then follow. Follow instructions outlined with the internet service provider.
Electronic sign-up strongly recommended. Alternately, if this is not available to you, please call your district technology department for enrollment at 360-691-7717 and ask them to apply on your behalf.

Your family may be eligible to receive free internet service through June 30, 2021 from Ziply Fiber. Washington’s K–12 Internet Access Program gives eligible families free internet access so your student can connect to online learning from home. As your neighborhood internet provider, Ziply Fiber is proud to be part of this important program.
To qualify for this program your household must meet the following criteria:
- your child must be eligible for free or reduced-price meals through your school and
- your household had no internet connection in your home prior to August 2020.
If you qualify and are interested in this program, you will not pay for installation nor equipment rental, and you will never receive a bill from us unless you decide to keep internet service from Ziply Fiber after the school year ends. You will need to pay for any damaged or lost equipment.
Through this program, you will receive quality high speed internet access (speeds will vary by location) that in most cases, will provide ample bandwidth for remote learning and video conferencing. Your student deserves the chance to learn without limits so you can also count on us to provide unlimited data.

To confirm your eligibility, Ziply Fiber will need a few details from you about your income. This information will be shared with Washington’s K–12 education department through a secure access portal and will never be used for any other purpose. Please note, the State of Washington will audit eligibility throughout the program. Should they determine your eligibility status has changed, service will be discontinued under terms of this program.
