  • Mission: The goal of Granite Falls School District Child Nutrition Services is to provide high quality, nutritious and cost-effective meals daily that promote learning readiness and healthy eating behaviors.

    School Meals are free for EVERY student through the 2021-2022 school year.

    School Meals: Our district provides a complete breakfast and lunch program, which meets or exceeds the nutritional requirements established by the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program. Breakfast and lunch are served at all schools. Multiple entrée choices are offered for all grade levels. Each entrée is accompanied by fresh fruit, vegetable and salad bar selection along with a choice of 1% white milk or non-fat chocolate milk.

    Menus: Are distributed monthly indicating daily entrée specials.

    Eligible Families are Encouraged to Apply for Free and Reduced Meals:
    The application process for participation in school meal programs is simple and confidential. Applications can be submitted ANY time during the school year. Households that experience a change in income due to job loss, or other circumstances, are encouraged to apply. Income eligibility is determined by federal guidelines.


    In accordance with federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its agencies, offices and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal of retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA. Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g. Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign language, etc), should contact the Agency (State or local) where they applied for benefits. Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339.
