• Fall 2020 Reopening

  • The Granite Falls School District has been regularly meeting and planning to discuss the best models for reopening schools based on guidance from the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), Washington State Health Department, Snohomish County Health Department and Washington Labor and Industries.

Snohomish County Health Department stated on July 29th that schools in the county should open remotely this fall. This decision was made based on the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Snohomish County.

The Granite Falls School District will use a staged approach upon reopening for the fall which includes Stage R= 100% Remote, Stage H= Hybrid Blended Learning Model (partly in-person and partly remote learning), and Stage S= 100% in-person learning (traditional learning).

The first day of school is Wednesday, September 2 for grades K-6 and 9. For grades 7-8 and 10-12 grade, the first day of school is September 3.

Based on current health guidance, the Granite Falls School District will be starting the school year in Stage R= 100% Remote Learning.
