Hello,

My name is Mr. Schireman and I am the Physical Education teacher here at Monte Cristo Elementary. I was born and raised in Everett. I recieved my BA in Communications and teacher certification from Western Washington University in Bellingham. I have also earned my Masters degree in Educational Leadership with principal certification from City University. I spent the first twenty-three years of my career as a Multiage (4th/5th/6th) teacher here at MCE, team teaching with my sister Mrs. Howell. Upon her retirement, I took the opportunity to move into the P.E. position. I have enjoyed many years coaching both boys and girls soccer from six years old through 15. I am so excited to start a new P.E. program that inspires and supports the students' mental and physical health.

Outside of the classroom/gym I enjoy spending time with my family. My wife teaches P.E. and Health at GFMS where my son Carson also attends. My daughter Taylor is entering her first year of college and is pursuing a career in the medical field. We all live together on a farm raising a few goats and enjoying our days outside with our chocolate lab Cedar. Family and friends are the most cheerished gifts in our lives.
