• Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA)
The CKLA curriculum supports language development by using a knowledge-rich approach to reading. In the early grades, CKLA builds foundational reading skills through explicit phonics instruction. Students also engage with a variety of fiction and nonfiction texts across subjects like science, social studies, and the arts. The goal is to develop not only literacy skills but also a broad base of knowledge that enhances comprehension and critical thinking.
