Granite Falls CTE

  • Welcome to Granite Falls Schools Career and Technical Education. We believe our students are fortunate to attend schools where relevant, rigorous, and skill-based learning is delivered through high-quality Career and Technical Education courses and programs. It is the mission of Granite Falls Schools Career and Technical Education department to complement the academic curriculum for students in our school system.

We provide a variety of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs to middle and high school students. CTE coursework engages students in experiential and dynamic learning that allows them to develop and master the technical, academic, and interpersonal skills needed for success in today’s ever-changing job market. The CTE programs of study offered in our schools involve multi-year sequences of courses that integrate core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge to provide students with a pathway to post-secondary education and careers.

Leadership skill development for all students is also an integral part of CTE programs. Students participate in leadership activities through Career and Technical student organizations such as TSA, FCCLA, FBLA, HOSA, Skills USA, or locally developed technical clubs. Work-based learning activities and college dual credit courses are also available to extend the classroom into the workplace, connecting acquired knowledge and skills to a student‘s future employment.

Granite Falls School District's Career Technical Education (CTE) is proud to offer exciting pathways that connect high school classes to college, industry certification and/or career. Offered to students in grades 9-12 at Granite Falls High School, Crossroads High School, and Granite Falls Middle school, CTE encourages students to develop valuable professional skills such as communication, interpersonal ability, time management, and teamwork.
