Leo and Charlotte are forever in the middle of things.

I’m a Washington native, born in Spokane and raised in Woodinville. Currently, my husband and I live in Everett with our two cats and a little garden. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Education and English at Western Washington University. I also went to school for a year in Ireland at the University College Galway, where I studied English Literature. I earned my Master’s in Education with an emphasis on Integrating the Arts from City University. Being raised in the Great Northwest I have a great love for all things outdoors. My family grew up snow skiing in the winter at Stevens Pass. We all started young and I taught ski lessons for 9 years at the Stevens Pass Ski School. You will still find us up there every weekend in the winter. Our family also enjoys patio BBQs, and Sunday dinners when you can get us all in one place. My younger sister was recently hired as a Bothell Firefighter, and my younger brother is busy going to college, working, and performing in his Barbershop Quartet. In the spring you’ll find me digging away in our little garden with my two cats, Leo and Charlotte, keeping me company. They are fond of catching bugs, but not much help pulling weeds! In the summer, my husband and I rank camping, hiking, and waterskiing with my family as our top choices. Of course, I also have a soft spot for all things Irish including its fairy stories, friendly culture, lilting music, and strong tea. This is my 6th year teaching Multiage with a wonderful team. I can imagine doing anything else and can’t believe that the years have gone by so quickly. I love teaching and seeing the students grow from 4th to 6th grade. I love drama, music, movement, and visual arts so you will see busy kids in B5 and B6. I am blessed to work with the Multiage team, and am looking forward to another fabulous year with my friend and partner, Valerie Anderson! |
