Welcome to Monte Cristo Elementary School, home of the 2012 National Veterans of Foreign Wars Elementary Teacher of the Year, the 2011 National Teacher Hall of Fame Inductee and the 2007 National Teacher of the Year. Monte Cristo Elementary serves students in grades K-5 and multiage with sixth grade. The school has approximately 50 teachers and support staff that provide children a safe and caring place where all students feel challenged and supported. The school has almost 350 students with a full academic program in addition to music, library-media, physical education, technology, literacy nights, special education, counseling services and multiage classrooms. A strong parent volunteer program supports a tutoring/mentoring program, book fairs, family events, enrichment assemblies, student recognition and extra-curricular activities.
