General Registration Information

Below you will find basic registration information. The forms you will need can be downloaded from our Commonly Requested Forms page. If you have additional questions regarding registration, not answered on this web page, please contact the District at 360-691-7717.

Please note: without proof of immunization at the time of registration, your child may not be able to attend class until the requirements are met. Click HERE for immunization requirements.

Elementary
• Proof of age for kindergarten and first grade students. Students entering kindergarten must be five years old on or before, August 31 of the year they are entering kindergarten. First grade students must be six years old on or before August 31 of the year they are entering first grade.
• Proof of immunization as required by state law.
• For children transferring from another school district a withdrawal sheet or report card is helpful in placing the student.

Middle School
• Fifth grade students who have been attending Granite Falls schools are registered for middle school during the spring of their fifth grade year.
• Students transferring from another school district should bring a withdrawal sheet or report card from their previous school.
• Proof of immunization as required by state law.

High School
• Eighth grade students who have been attending Granite Falls schools are registered for high school during the spring of their eighth grade year.
• Students transferring from another school district should bring a withdrawal sheet or transcript from their previous school.
• Proof of immunization as required by state law.
• The high school counselor will assist students with class selection.
